Abstract
Use This work describes our early advances on the CdTe thin film deposition by drop-casting using aqueous CdTe colloidal dispersions. We synthesized water dispersible ammonium hydroxide - stabilized CdTe colloids to prepare dense and crack-free CdTe thin films by drop casting. The CdTe nanoparticles and thin films were characterized in regarding to their phase composition, morphology and structure by using X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy. Thin films comprising CdTe and Te as a secondary phase were obtained.
