Abstract
A power-efficient high data-rate OFDM based wideband radio front-end implemented in 90nm CMOS technology using a combination of circuit, system, silicon integration, and analog built-in-self calibration techniques is presented. These techniques are illustrated in the context of a direct conversion wideband DVB-H/ISDB-T receiver front-end signal path operating over the 470 to 702MHz bands, including a narrowband selectable cascode LNA, harmonic reject passive mixers, area and power efficient baseband filtering, providing a 73.5dB voltage gain, 4dB noise figure, +4dBm out of band IIP3, with 50mW power consumption.
