Abstract :
Neuroscience has become one of the fastest growing research fields in recent decades. Although the field of neuroscience is comparatively new, it is growing and expanding at a very rapid rate. The purpose of this systematic review was to explore and describe how the field of neuroscience has fully reflected in the Information Systems studies including other relevant fields. The directions are derived from the results of examining 129 scholarly articles that had been published from year 2010 to year 2015 from various established databases. From the systematic literature review process, there has been a steady increase of papers published every year and there is a diverse use of neuroscience within the domains of management, design science and human-computer interaction. This paper offers a bird´s eye view for other researchers who are dealing with the epistemological as well as ontological fragments that exist when trying to get more insights of applied neuroscience in information systems, social and behavioural sciences, management and operation, government and administration, gaming, e-commerce, finance, ICT, education, health and business.
