Abstract :
The concept of change point has been widely discussed with respect to fault removal process of single release software only. In this paper, we propose a discrete generalized modeling framework for multi-release software system by applying the concept of change point on some standard discrete probability distributions to model the fault removal process. Parameter estimation has been done and goodness-of-fit is analyzed on real life 4-release failure dataset.
