Abstract :
The main goal of agile development methods is to reduce risk thereby resulting in more successful and effective information systems. Indeed, Finding out, analyzing, prioritising, and planning risks are important activities in all development approaches, including Agile development. However, while there is an extensive body of academic literature on risk management, few little researches have attempted to study risk management in Agile development projects. This paper discusses the Risk Management (RM) activities in Agile software development, and shows how using Agile can help with traditional RM process. Finally, the paper sheds light on the benefits and limitations of some Agile methodologies from a RM perspective and highlights directions for future work in this topic.
