Abstract :
This paper presents a new methodology for synthesizing the transfer impedance of shielded cables in simulation program with integrated circuit emphasis (SPICE). Compared to the traditional models that use lumped equivalent circuits, the new modelling method uses the flow chart of the z-Domain discrete transfer function directly in SPICE and the process of calculating the equivalent circuit parameters is avoided. The modelling method and the operation method of the z-model in SPICE are introduced. Numerical examples are adopted to validate the proposed model, and the results are in good agreement with other references. The z-Domain SPICE model provides a high-efficient simulation modular, which can be used in time-domain analysis of transmission lines with time-dependent or non-linear loads.
