Abstract :
This poster paper describes a pilot study, undertaken as part of a PhD, into nurses´ perceptions, knowledge, and attitudes to Electronic Medical Records (EMR) in Saudi Arabia. The pilot which was conducted in a single clinic in Jeddah City asked 230 female nurses of all ages and levels of seniority, questions regarding their age, nationality and computer experience; their general perceptions about the organization and efficiency of EMR; their satisfaction when using EMR as part of their jobs; and how EMR has influenced the performance and quality of work within their departments. This paper presents a number of key responses from this pilot.
