Abstract :
A motor development package including a high speed DSP TI TMS320C6657[1] and an integral testing software has been developed to reduce the cost and time for evaluating motors. The software comes with a user-friendly GUI and a specialized coding library with common Power Electronics functions to ease the process of writing control algorithms. No additional instrumentation is also required in the package as necessary debug functions are available in the software. Seamless connection between the inverter and controller reduces the effort to construct external circuity. Safety features have been emphasized to ensure that the system is completely isolated in case of overcurrent surge.
