Abstract
This paper proposes a current ripple reduction algorithm due to current measurement errors of independent three-phase permanent magnet synchronous machine (IT-PMSM) with dual air-gap. The stator structures of the IT-PMSM with dual air-gap are composed of two sets which have independent three-phase winding modules with symmetrical structure and connected by Y-connection with external neutral point. The proposed IT-PMSM with dual air-gap is controlled by using independent three-phase vector control. Thus, the suitable current control algorithm is necessary to adapt independent three-phase vector control. In addition, the accurate current information is important to control the dq-axes current. However, the current information is measured with errors caused by non-ideal components of circuit. These errors cause current ripples and bring about deterioration of system performance. In this paper, the algorithm to reduce ripple components is proposed. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is verified through the experimental results.
