Abstract :
A novel Dual Composite Right-Left Handed (D-CRLH) resonator is proposed in this paper. This type of the resonator is frequency-independent and formed by using the interdigital capacitor and wire inductor. Compared with the conventional half-wavelength resonator, this type of the resonators is much smaller with nearly 1/20 guided wavelength (λg). Moreover, by combining the proposed equivalent circuit method, the selectivity and high stopband suppression of the resonator unit are improved, which makes it suitable for implementing the miniaturized high-performance filter. For demonstration, a high-performance second-order filter is designed and measured, verifying the validity of the proposed equivalent circuit method.
