Abstract
This paper presents a compact-size co-planar waveguide (CPW) -fed antenna for ultrawideband (UWB) applications. The feeding structure of the proposed antenna is a fork-shaped type, and the ground plane is an open-loop type made of two L-shaped extended ground plane stubs. The size of this proposed antenna is only 26 × 20 × 0.8 mm3. The simulated 10-dB return loss bandwidth is 0.17 GHz (3.1-17.0 GHz), and its corresponding gain along the desired band is 0.44-5.2 dBi .
