Abstract :
Experimental investigations by have been done to understand co-channel interference characteristics between the small cells installed in indoor environments. However, there are a lot of complex situations in the arrangement of indoor small cells, so that it seems to be hard to build the general interference modeling through experimental results due to strong dependences on the environmental conditions. In contrast, it seems to easily obtain the general tendency of interference by theoretical calculations by means of usage of typical models of interference environments. For this purpose, it is important to develop a technique for calculating the electric field strength of a path through two apertures like windows of a building and a neighboring building. This paper proposes a calculation formulation, named Double Aperture Field (DAF) method, for predicting the electric field of the interferer that propagates through the window openings. Measurement results are also shown to confirm its effectiveness.
