Abstract :
A design method for coplanar waveguide-fed capacitively coupled slot antenna is presented. An equivalent model of a coupling capacitor and two parallel short-circuit slotlines is proposed for analyzing the capacitively coupled slot antenna. Equations as well as design curves are provided. Two conventional antennas are fabricated and measured. The simulated results show good agreement with the measured results.
