Abstract :
A novel fractal microstrip patch antenna has been proposed which is based on the Smith Chart design. The Smith Chart circles consist of two types of circles. The proposed design of fractal microstrip patch antenna has exploited one set of Smith Chart circles. The dielectric material used for the proposed microstrip patch antenna is Rogers TMM4 with a dielectric constant of 4.55 and the patch is made up of annealed copper. The proposed fractal geometry possesses multiband behavior at 1.75 GHz., 2.50 GHz., 3.05 GHz. and 4.42 GHz. for Second iteration with S11 less than -10 dB. The gains of the final antenna design are 6.15dBi.; 6.91 dBi.; 5.85 dBi.; 6.93 dBi. at the respective frequencies.
