Abstract :
Accidents of carrier-based aircraft trouble modern navy and most of them emerge in the landing process because of its complexity and difficulty. Most accident studies concentrate on kinetic and kinematics modeling, flying quality controlling and visual simulation of the landing process. However, NASA revealed that human error contributed to 80% in civil and military aviation accidents. Analysis and assessment especially to pilot errors during landing process becomes significant for reducing potential failures. Thus, a quantitative evaluation method is proposed based on approved Human Error Assessment and Reduction Technique (HEART) due to its common applicability and reasonable accuracy. The calculation procedure, parameter system and parameter value determining method are redesigned to overcome deficiencies of HEART in epistemic uncertainties, feasibility for landing process, and no specified user guidance, et.al. The proposed method offers an effective way to assess the possibility of pilot error and its influence. Finally, a practical accident situation is evaluated as the demonstration and calculation results is considered reasonable with reality.
