Abstract :
Fault tree analysis is very important in the reliability design and analysis program of a product. However, the traditional fault tree construction method is difficult to implement since it requires high capability of the modelers and a long period, furthermore the process is complicated. Compared with this, the Go model is easy to build due to its similarity with the principle diagram of the system function. Based on this, a new method of fault tree generation is given in this article. This method includes three steps: First, define the mapping rules from the common Go operators to the fault tree nodes. Second, give the programmable algorithm flow of transforming a complete Go graph to its corresponding fault tree according to the mapping rules defined in step one. Finally, simplify the generated fault tree, and remove the redundant fault tree logic gates. Using this method, an example of a water supply system is given, which shows that it is a practical method through the Go methodology to generate the fault tree, which can alleviate the workload and reduce the modeling errors.
