Abstract :
The fundamental source for Human leukocyte antigen (HLA) type match for patients and donors is the bone marrow or cord blood transplants. Serving as identifiers, HLA are proteins (also called markers) found on most cells in the body and used by the immune system to recognize natural habitat of the cells. In other words, which cells belong to the body and can be accepted or which are foreign and may be rejected [1]. Therefore, a web-based virtual data integration system is proposed to facilitate and improve the HLA matching process for donors. More specifically, data from multiple sources will be integrated to provide likelihood match scores.
