Abstract :
In this paper, we discuss the possibility of applying conventional 2D image processing to omnidirectional space. In order to achieve this and deal with the adaption challenges involved, two methods were considered: Monte-Carlo particle filtering, and k-means segmentation. Experimental results show that the conventional 2D based methods can be adapted to omnidirectional and anamorphic images.
