Abstract :
In this paper we presented an MPI Application Task Integration Platform (MATIP) to design hardware parallel dynamic applications for Multiprocessing Reconfigurable System on Chip (MP-RSoC). MATIP uses a distributed memory model where communications between tasks are done via messages. MATIP is structured in three layers : Interconnection layer, Communication layer and Application Layer. MATIP helps the designer to deploy applications, regardless the platform architectural specificity. The methodology to build application with MATIP is a Platform Based Design methodology where user concentrates on his application without taking into account architectural specificity of the platform. MATIP can be used with standard RTL tools and is based on VHDL development language. MATIP demonstrates that it is possible to deploy efficiently hardware parallel dynamic applications on MP-RSoC. The implementation results show that the overhead of resources required by MATIP to embed a task is small when compared to other platforms.
