  • Abstract
    Grid computing and cloud technologies are used for distributed computing in scientific domains like physics, chemistry, biology, meteorology, earth sciences, engineering, industry, and even in army. In this paper the current status of Grid and High Performance (HPC) activities in RO-16-UAIC site will be presented. It is underlined the infrastructure and the results recently obtained at the RO-16-UAIC site, which supports grid production for the ATLAS virtual organization. The issue of EMI software upgrade for computing element and work nodes it is discussed. At upgrade of Torque software from 2.5 to 4.10 appeared some problems of incompatibility and dependency witch influenced the functionality of site grid. Other issues which is presented in the paper it is about the network problem of RO-16-UAIC in LHCONE network.
