Abstract :
This paper expounds physical phenomena of the internal arc faults in the metal-enclosed switchgear, introduces the relevant standards of Metal-enclosed Switchgear, put forward the switchgear design requirements, and internal arc test are analyzed in detail. Finally, the main characteristics of switchgear of internal arc fault are given through the analysis of the related test, and put forward the relevant parts, such as key component or location design of doors, panels, backwall, pressure relief devices, the position of the pressure relief devices, valve of close cable compartment vent, and other functional requirements, to guide the switchgear design for the internal arc faults.
