Abstract :
High-voltage circuit-breakers have to be performed the type tests including short-circuit current making and breaking tests according to the IEC 62271-100(2012) or relevant standards. During the short-circuit tests all kinds of parameters such as currents and voltages (transient and recovery) shall be satisfied in accordance with the relevant standards. There are 5 test duties such as T10, T30, T60, T100s and T100a for short-circuit current making and breaking tests. Especially, the rising time(t3) of transient recovery voltage in test duty T10 and T30 is very short and test laboratories in general cannot satisfy this requirement because they have the bigger stray capacitance of transformer than the standards require. Through this paper PT&T would like to study several test circuits and also propose the suitable test circuit that the rising time can be satisfied with the relevant standards.
