Abstract :
In this paper, a novel cascade nonlinear controller is proposed for output voltage regulation of the DC-DC buck/boost converter in a wide range of operation using exact feedback linearization approach. In the developed controller, only feedbacks from the state variables of the system are used and changes of the load resistance and input voltage aren´t needed. To solve the non-minimum phase problem of the converter, output voltage is controlled indirectly by applying a nonlinear internal inductor current controller. In order to verify the accuracy of the designed control system, some simulations are presented for different output voltage reference and load values. It is shown that the controller has stable response in a wide range of operation with zero steady-state error and acceptable dynamic response.
