Abstract :
This paper presents a design of low radar cross section (RCS) coupling slot antenna. It is based on the principle of radiation source and phase cancellation. Low RCS screen composed of orthogonal array of complementary split double rings resonator etched circular patch artificial magnetic conductor(AMC) is exploited on the antenna for RCS reduction in dual bands. The simulation results show that 10 dB RCS reduction is achieved over the range of 5.43-5.68 GHz in-band, implying 4.5% relative bandwidth. Meanwhile, 10 dB RCS reduction is achieved over the range of 4.43-4.69 GHz in out-band.
