Abstract :
This article provides an assessment of performance using the femtocell as access technology for return channel Digital TV, analyzing their use in conjunction with WiMAX and DSL standards. From this idea several simulations using the FTP and DTV services as well as video and voice transmissions were made, beyond the inclusion of competing traffic so that the environment is closely match a real scenario, aiming to leave the network in situations of end traffic on the transmission medium. At the end of the study, it is observed that the combined use of Femtocell technology with an access pattern reaches the goal, improving the performance of end-user network, thus becoming an alternative to the Digital TV return channel.
