Abstract :
This paper proposes the use of a ceramic material, niobium pentoxide (Nb2O5), to be used as an alternative in the production of microstrip antenna substrate with reduced dimensions. The substrates were obtained by varying the compression pressure and the sintering temperature. The powder metallurgy technique was used to obtain the desired substrates´ properties. Chemical characteristics through the diffraction of x-rays of the material were obtained as the electrical characteristics through impedance matching, return loss and dielectric constant, with values between 6 and 10.
