Abstract :
Hybrid Underwater Gliders (HUGs) are a new type of platform for ocean exploration, with characteristics of low noise, long endurance and high maneuverability. In order to enhance the communication quality of HUGs, the relation between the effective intensity of antenna signal and communication attitude is studied. This paper builds a mathematical model of the effective intensity of antenna signal. Multi-objective optimization is used to figure out the proper amount of hydraulic oil inside in the state of communication in different sea area with corresponding sea density. Then the communication attitude is tested in field trials, indicating that the optimization design of the communication attitude enhances the reliability of HUGs´ communication and strengthens its environmental self-adaption.
