Abstract
With the development of HVDC transmission system, the HVDC transmission system reliability should be considered when the power grid reliability is researched. The Markov model is used to evaluate equipments´ time dependent reliability, combing the traditional universal generating function method. Based on it, the time dependent universal generating function method is used to evaluate the HVDC transmission system time dependent reliability. The system reliability analysis is completed based on it. Referring on the multiple derivation idea, the reliability sensitivity analysis among the system, subsystem and equipments can come true. The algorithm is proved effective with an existing HVDC transmission system.
