Abstract
In this paper, a progressive prompt-based gaming approach was designed for developing a context-aware ubiquitous learning system to help students learn in the authentic activities. A quasi-experimental design was employed in a Natural Science course of an elementary school to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed approach in improving the students´ learning achievement, motivation and flow. From the experimental results, it is found that the proposed approach could effectively enhance the learning achievement, motivation, and flow of the students in comparison with the conventional progressive prompt-based learning approach without gaming.
