  • Abstract
Socioscientific issues (SSI) are frequently used to enhance student´s decision ability and critical thinking skills. In order to help students be more immersed in the SSI problems, this study employed a socioscientific issue role-playing learning activity and used online discussion to support their collaboration. The cognitive process dimension of Revised Bloom´s Taxonomy was used as coding scheme and used Lag Sequential Analysis (LSA) to depict students cognitive processing behavioral pattern. The preliminary results showed that students of different roles exhibited diverse cognitive processing behavioral patterns in online discussion. Results are discussed and expected to serve as guidance for conducting SSI related learning activity and subsequent research.
