Abstract :
A dual-polarized wideband antenna array is presented for 5-GHz band wireless local networks (WLANs) application. The antenna array consists of 8 printed dipoles with bow-tie structure, a feeding network and a metal wall with size around 120mm × 120mm. Every two printed dipoles are put orthogonally to realize dual polarization. The antenna bandwidth for two ports is around 1GHz under the condition of voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) less than 2. The measured gains are around 13.8dBi and 14.1dBi for two ports, respectively. The beamwidth is 27°. Both the measured and simulated results agree well.
