  • Abstract
A novel reconfigurable dual notched-band UWB antenna is presented. The antenna has an available impedance bandwidth from 3 to 11 GHz with dual band-notched characteristics centred at 3 GHZ and 5 GHZ, respectively. Meanwhile the notched-band frequency can be continuously tunable within a certain range by changing the voltage on the varactor diodes in the u-shaped slots. Finally, Antenna prototype is successfully fabricated and measured. The measured results have a good agreement with the simulated results. The proposed antenna can filter the WiMAX/WLAN band and other similar frequency bands in the rage of 3-6GHZ, according to actual application scenarios. Thus, the antenna is expected to be a good candidate in various UWB systems.
