Abstract :
A balanced filtering antenna is proposed in this paper. It is composed of a wideband dipole antenna, a reflecting ground and a filter. The filter is utilized to replace the transmission line between two arms and the reflecting ground of the dipole antenna. Accordingly, the size of the filtering antenna is not increased compared to the antenna without filter. To verify the performance of the filtering antenna, a prototype for the design is fabricated and measured.
