Abstract :
A dual-polarized Fabry-Perot cavity antenna (FPCA) operates at Ka band with broadband and high gain is presented in this paper. The FPCA consist of three layers of substrates. The square patch coupled by two orthogonal slots and fed by two microstrip lines acts as the source element. The simulated impedance bandwidth for the two ports is 3.4GHz from 34.4GHz to 37.8GHz. The isolation between the two ports is better than 30dB within the bandwidth. The simulated gains of the two ports at 35GHz are 17dBi and 16.8dBi, respectively. The common -3dB gain bandwidth of the two ports is 2.5GHz (7.1%) from 33.6GHz to 36.1GHz.
