Abstract :
EEG is a cortical record of brain dynamics. Neural correlate is the relationship between the external stimuli and the state of neurons. The neural activity in various regions of brain may be related or unique to stimuli. Here we have acquired the EEG of subjects in relaxed state and compared it with their EEG while performing short term memory tasks. We have been found that frontal and prefrontal region has higher Delta band power during Dspan task. Also theta band power over prefrontal region has been found to be higher than the relaxed state for Corsi task. Also there is decrease in alpha band power over occipital lobe while performing task Corsi as compared to relaxed state.
