  • Abstract
Software testing is one of the most important process in the software development life cycle, since it ensures the delivery of a good quality software to the user. In order to make this process more efficient, automated testing is required in which, a particular software is used that executes the test cases and compare the actual and expected results. Automated testing offers the advantage of reduced cost and time in the testing process and it is also more reliable than manual means. One of the types of automated testing is action word testing or keyword based testing. In this paper, a framework for testing web applications is proposed that exploits the concept of keyword driven testing. The proposed framework is built with Maven automation tool that uses some keywords to test the application. The keywords and their associated functions are coded in a test script, which is executed by the framework.
