Abstract :
WSN received tremendous growth in research and industry applications. Convergecast is a communication technique commonly used in wireless sensor network applications in which data is collected in many to one i.e. from sensory nodes to sink node or base station. Fast and efficient data collection is important in convergecast routing. In this paper the performance of convergecast routing is evaluated with the help of Omnet++ simulator. Performance and effect of different parameters on each other is evaluated through simulative environment. This paper analyzes how RSSI (received signal strength indication) -50 dBm and -100 dBm parameters affect the BER, SNR, Latency, back-off duration and SNIR under a given scenario.
