  • Abstract
A novel compact triple-ultra-wideband (Triple-UWB) antenna is proposed, based on two non- concentric split ring resonators and a ground plane printed on top face of FR-4 substrate. The two non- concentric split ring resonators are the radiating elements of the proposed antenna which are electromagnetically fed by a microstrip line with a rectangular slot, printed on the bottom face of the substrate. The antenna is operating at three broad frequency bands ranging from 3.56 up to 16GHz, 16.97 up to 41GHz and for frequencies higher than 44GHz. The radiation pattern plots are also presented and discussed in this paper. The entire antenna occupies only a small volume of 30mm × 31.5mm × 1.5mm. A prototype of the antenna was fabricated and measured. Measurement and simulation results show a very good agreement.
