Abstract :
Human brain behaves differently with the different task conditions presented. This is due to the cognitive load that each task condition imposes. In this article we are looking for the difference in cognitive load that each subject faces when subjected to different task conditions. We will try to differentiate the two category of subjects i.e. alcoholic and controls on the basis of the cognitive demand they face in the non-matching delay task condition. Cognitive demand itself gets reflected on the EEG features; results are presented to show this aspect. Independent Component Analysis (ICA) algorithm is used to perform the signal source separation over dense electrode system. In this paper the best suggested ICA algorithm from the literature is used for source separation. Source localization is done further to study the difference in alcoholic and control subject groups in specific task condition on the basis of previous results obtained.
