Abstract :
This paper presents phasor assisted state estimation (PASE) via Gauss Newton method performed in rectangular co-ordinate. Phasor measurements collected by PMUs (phasor measurement unit) are added in existing conventional measurements scanned via remote terminal units (RTUs) through linear post processing step. Performance of presented phasor assisted state estimator is assessed by calculating average and standard deviation of estimated states. Proposed state estimator is tested on standard IEEE 14 bus system for its enhanced functionality.
