Abstract :
Design and development work is ongoing to make 2.6 cell photocathode RF Gun with a mode separation of about 15 MHz. This paper provides information on the comparison of simulation results of the 2.6 cells using Superfish and HFSS code. The cavities designed are tuned to achieve π mode frequency of 2856 MHz with a field balance of 1. In the next stage we are making fabrication drawings and will initiate fabrication of RF gun cavity in near future.
