Abstract
We demonstrate a rational harmonic mode-locked fiber laser employing a 151-cm-long bismuth-oxide-based highly nonlinear erbium-doped fiber. The cavity length is as short as 6 m. Stable and amplitude-equalized short pulses up to 40 GHz are obtained.
