Abstract :
A movie gathers different fractions like comedy scenes, action, dialogs and songs. Extraction of songs from movies is carried out in this paper with the help of special audio features which helps to distinguish between song and non-song. The algorithm used here performs the operations of movie segmentation, intensity based classification and audio clues based improvements. Intensity based classifications leads to the promising song sequences which may include non-song portions. Such false detections are eliminated using audio clues namely tempo and zero crossing rate. Movies of different genre like comedy, drama, action, thriller, romantic and suspense having different languages specifically Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati and English are taken here for measuring accuracy of this work.
