Abstract :
Wireless communication system with macrodiversity reception is considered. Selection combining (SC) macrodiversity system consists of three SC microdiversity receivers. Received signal experiences correlated Gamma long term fading and α-κ-μ short term fading resulting in system performance degradation. Rapidly converging infinite-series expressions for average level crossing rate (LCR) at the macrodiversity output are provided. The influences of Gamma shadowing parameters and α-κ-μ fading parameters on LCR are analyzed and graphically presented.
