Abstract
In this paper, a numerical analysis of the shielding properties related to a protective metal enclosure with ventilation apertures is performed. As a numerical tool, the TLM method, either in conventional form based on fine mesh to describe apertures presence or enhanced with the compact air-vent model is used. The main focus in the paper is on examining the limits of applying the compact air-vent model for EMC problems solving.
