Abstract
This paper shows the some technical subjects of the ad hoc portable wireless sensor network while concentrating on it about the energy consumption of the integrated module system. In order to increase the battery life of sensor nodes, minimizing transmission power of wireless link is required, which is the significant part of node total energy consumption. However, this results in degradation of communication reliability. Firstly, this paper demonstrates requirements of ad hoc networking. Secondly, based on an experimental result using a low power 2.4GHz wireless sensor integrated modules with tiny pattern antenna, propagation of the radio wave is discussed in order to provide fundamental aspects of wireless communication reliability for various node settings.
