  • Abstract
As one of the physical-based fatigue crack growth evaluation models, the small time scale model has been widely utilized for fatigue crack growth analysis. There are several material parameters involved in the small time scale model, such as: the Young´s modulus, the yielding stress and the intrinsic threshold value et al. There are large uncertainties associated with these parameters in real engineering applications. However, the research of uncertainty caused by the material parameters for small time scale model has been rarely reported. In this paper, a sensitivity study is proposed to quantify the uncertainties caused by these material parameters (the Young´s modulus, the yielding stress and the intrinsic threshold value). It indicates that the change of the material parameters has effect on the fatigue crack growth.
