Research Methodology course for mechatronics Masters program

The development and implementation of a Research Methodology course for a Masters´ program in mechatronics engineering is provided. The course was developed during the TEMPUS-JIML project, that involved a consortium of eight international universities, and the course was implemented at Philadelphia University in Jordan. The course material was divided into five parts: Literature review, thesis proposal, modeling and simulation, engineering experiments, and research papers. The material for each part was gathered from many resources and is summarized in this paper. An evaluation of the course outcomes shows that the course was successful in developing the students´ research skills.
