Abstract :
The prevention of tampering of essential data used in a monitoring system is an important issue. These capabilities are necessary for such a system to provide effective security. This paper describes the design of three modules that are helpful in prevention from tampering. First module built for this application focuses on encryption of database event data. A new method based on mathematical functions and using AES is described. The second module feature built in the application caters to the data collection as well as transfers. A module for this is described using a type queue data structure. The third module built provides the features of hashing. A design of various techniques for hashing is given. Therefore these modules designed enhance the security aspects of monitoring system.
