Abstract :
In military operation, sharing information among troops is essential issue for effective combats and minimal causalities. So these tendencies take militaries to information centric combat. And MANET has proper properties for this military operation such as infrastructure less, effective data transfer and flexible for changeable topology. Routing protocol is key factor of MANET. So to apply MANET into military operation, selecting proper routing protocol is crucial work. In this paper, among several MANET protocols, Ad Hoc On-Demand Distance Routing Protocol (AODV) and Optimized Link State Routing Protocol (OLSR) are selected because of popularity and prospective of them. And we have simulated and analyzed of the AODV and OLSR for Military Operation Environment using the Network Simulator 2 (NS2) tool. After that this paper indicates which routing protocol is suitable for military operation on the base of simulation outcomes.
